Pension Enrolled Actuary - Woodland Hills

A leading actuarial and pension administration firm is seeking an Enrolled Actuary.

The ideal candidate requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the pension industry
  • Have an Enrolled Actuary designation
  • Experience with Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plans, including non-discrimination testing
  • Experience with Defined Contribution plans is preferred but not required
  • Experience with Datair software is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of different tax entities, and well versed regarding pension tax deductibility rules.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and manage a diverse caseload.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of actuarial valuations and studies
  • Preparation of illustrations for potential clients
  • Assistance with initial and ongoing plan design
  • Preparation of non-discrimination tests
  • Preparation of timely responses to client and consultant requests
  • Prepare/review client communications, benefit calculations and IRS/PBGC Forms and filings
  • Calculate/Review Participant Benefit Distributions
  • Training and guidance to junior staff
  • Review work of junior staff
  • Review plan document preparation

Payroll Specialist - Orange County

The Payroll Specialist assists with all responsibilities necessary to process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll for all clientele through payroll calls, emails, faxes, and Internet. The Payroll Specialist will provide excellent customer services by developing excellent client relations and focus on quality and accuracy of payroll input. Overall, this role supports and is a key resource for the Client Services Manager. Preferred knowledge of SAAShr, or Workforce Ready, but not required. Experience in these previous companies also a plus, ADP, Ultimate Software, Inifinisource, Paylocity.

Duties:

  • Process client’s payroll via phone, email, fax, and Internet
  • Printing and packaging payroll
  • Provide support for client’s inquiries
  • Focus on the timely input of client’s payroll while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Transmits ACH files and other benefits information to vendors
  • Support clients via email and phone
  • Focus on customer satisfaction
  • Implement clients to new payroll system
  • Scanning and filing documents
  • Assisting with general office administrative work

  • Required Skills:

Retirement Plan Consultant -WH & OC

Growing and expanding retirement plan benefits firm has an open position in Woodland Hills and Irvine, CA for a Sr. Consultant and a Sr. Retirement Plan Administrator. Consultants and Retirement Plan Administrators must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in all aspects of plan administration.

Looking for experience with 401(k) and profit-sharing, cross tested, daily platform and balance forward plans. Datair knowledge preferred. Defined benefit plans a plus but not required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full 401(k) administration including tiered PS/401(k) plans, distribution and loan paperwork
  • All compliance testing (401(a)(4), ADP/ACP, 410(b) etc.), completion of valuation reports
  • Key contact with clients and responsible for client retention and relationship. Must effectively communicate with clients and advisors to address all client issues, provide necessary research, problem solving and resolution support
  • Government Forms - preparation of IRS Form 5500, 8955, all related schedules and notices
  • Effective verbal and writing skills are required as job includes extensive direct client contact.
  • All applicants should have a strong desire to exceed client expectations, have an in-depth understanding of the products and services we provide, have the ability to identify opportunities and introduce other services to clients when in the client's best interest. Pension credentials preferred with CE's supported by us.
